30 EXCITING ACTIVITIES TO CHOOSE FROM
Why get someone the gift of ‘things’ when you can give them the gift of memories!
Making memories is one of the best things anyone can do in their lifetime. Ask yourself: would you rather? A house full of things... or a memory full of fantastic days out spent with a loved one? Don't forget the camera too!
Whether you are buying this for yourself and a loved one, or a couple for their anniversary gift, or even a couple of best friends that haven't spent enough time together lately, this is a gift you will never forget. In fact, you might even be tempted to buy a second one because the choice is so incredible! The recipient could find themselves at a spa, relaxing after a long hard week at work, or racing to the top of a climbing wall, or even learning some old school self-defence which was used in the Sherlock Holmes stories. Whatever they choose, it will be something worthwhile!

What did you get up to?
After taking in all the sights on offer throughout the picturesque grounds, we arrived to the warmest of welcomes at the grand reception of the impressive Hintlesham Hall. From there, we were taken to the Spa to meet our therapists, Sophie and Isabella, who greeted us with a glass of Champagne. We were then led to the spa's stylish relaxation lounge to enjoy some further complimentary refreshments whilst completing the necessary health & safety documents.
After getting changed into the provided robes and slippers, we received a full consultation from the therapists. Their attention to detail was second to none, ensuring we would receive a treatment best tailored to our needs. We opted to take our treatments together in the couple's treatment room, however you are welcome to opt for individual treatment rooms too. After the treatments we were able to enjoy some further relaxation in the private jacuzzi along with a cup of tea.
We finished off our day with a lovely traditional afternoon tea inside the elegant main building. This was not included within the experience but is highly recommended as it provides an additional opportunity to take in the beautiful architecture whilst enjoying a delicious array of cakes, scones, and sandwiches.
Overall, the quality of the venue and service was outstanding throughout. We really enjoyed this experience and would thoroughly recommend to anyone seeking a day of pampering and relaxation.
What did you enjoy the most?
I opted for the 30-minute back, neck & shoulder massage, which lasted beyond the stated time and was by far the best massage I've received.
What did you get up to?
We were delighted to be given the opportunity to indulge in a day of relaxation in the centre of London.
My partner and I decided to go for the Liverpool Street location which is a 5-minute walk away from the Liverpool Street train station. Upon arriving at the Montcalm Royal London House, we were both very impressed with the beautiful buildings and 1st class service we received from the staff. We were directed to the spa (situated within the hotel on the bottom floor) and were greeted by a friendly staff member who quickly found our booking and offered us towels and slippers. Robes are also available to hire at £3 each.
We were shown around the spa and took some time to check out the gym and pool before heading to the changing rooms where we got ready for our treatments. The changing rooms were lovely and clean, with lockers provided for any valuables, and large showers that included shampoos and moisturisers.
We then headed to the treatment area and helped ourselves to some refreshing fruit infused water whilst we filled out the health and safety documents. Our therapists greeted us and took us into a double treatment room, so we were able to relax together whilst receiving a 30-minute upper body massage.
We decided to start with the steam room and then spend time in the pool before heading to the jacuzzi. Throughout our session, there was opportunities to grab refreshments such as water and fruit, and also lie on pool side beds and read magazines. We were lucky on the day we went as there were only a handful of others sharing the facilities! Once we were finished, we got dressed and headed out into London feeling extremely relaxed and rejuvenated, ready for an afternoon of site seeing in the Capital.
All in all, a very relaxing day and I would highly recommend it to anyone in need of some time away to fully pamper yourself!
What did you enjoy the most?
The quality of the massage was extremely high, and it was very relaxing, which set us up perfectly for 2 hours of chilling in the spa.
What did you get up to?
Upon arrival to the hotel, you will see the signs leading you to the Esprit Spa. The receptionist will give you towels and robes to change into. Then you have some free time to relax and enjoy the 19m pool, steam room, sauna and modern gym for you and your pal! You have a choice of treatments (back neck and shoulder massage, facial or nails), and once you have chosen, your therapist will deliver your chosen treatment in one of their 3 beautifully decorated treatment rooms. I have already booked an overnight stay to come back on the 7th of June, it was that good!
What did you enjoy the most?
In terms of relaxation, I have never felt so relaxed after a spa day, the facilities were large and very clean which is of upmost importance to myself, and the treatment was adapted to my needs.
What did you get up to?
After a day of exploring Cambridge, we made our way the Loch Fyne restaurant which was only a short walk from the town centre. Once we arrived we were greeted by the friendly staff and were presented with a bottle of Joseph Perrier. Alongside the chilled champagne, we enjoyed a tasty three course meal from the set menu. The restaurant was modern and comfortable and had a lovely outdoor seating section as well. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed the fresh food and the staff were very accommodating, the champagne was a great accompaniment with the meal as well, making it perfect for a special occasion or romantic meal for two to enjoy!
What did you enjoy the most?
Our highlight of the experience was how quick the service was, we were not waiting a long time for our meals and once we tucked in it was great quality food! There is a wide variety on the menu to choose from as well, including meat or vegetarian dishes if you do not eat seafood. The small extra touches from the staff were also impressive such as changing the ice bucket for the champagne every so often and bringing us water or teas and coffees.

Okay but not gourmet
The food was very nice and good service but the venue and meal cannot be called gourmet.

Disappointing
The venue was really cold.
The Rascul Mud was not great - the steam room wasn't very hot, and the "mist" to remove the mud, was pitiful - thus needing a hose at the end of the session. The hot tub was not very hot, there was not enough water in it.
The food in the evening was un-edible. The service was not great - people were nice people, but professionally it was poor.
The venue was nice to look at, the room was warm and comfy. The lady on reception was friendly

Gourmet lunch
Wouldn't say it was gourmet food, roast dinner but with veg we assume also used in the Veggie lasagne. Pleasant staff but average food. H
Was a gift but would urge you to review if worth the money.
