Pottering Around London...
If you’re a riddikulus Harry Potter fan, who, when asked to rate him out of ten, would answer, ‘9 ¾’, this is the ultimate day out for you. Perhaps you simply know a group of Potter fans who Lovegood walks around the city and want to help them explore the hidden Potter history. There’s nothing Ron with that. The Potters are deer to many of us. We’re Neville going to stop loving those books no matter how they get Crabbe-y about it or Percy up their lips.
But Siriusly… this Harry Potter London Walking Tour starts off outside the Palace Theatre, the place where the sequel, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, was first performed. You’ll be given an overview about what to expect on the walk ahead and then start out on what will be about a 2 hour walk (with lots of stopping so you won't be Hufflepuffing). You’ll visit famous London landmarks, such as Big Ben, whilst your guide shares many pieces of Potter trivia and Azkabanter with you about the sights you see. For example, as you stand on the bridge enjoying a view of the Thames (be careful you don’t Slytherin) you’ll find out that this is the very bridge that was destroyed in Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.
You can be a Happy Spotter as you observe the entrance to Diagon Alley, the Leaky Cauldron and Platform 9 ¾. We don’t advise running full tilt at the wall in the hope of heading off to Hogwarts (though Granger things have happened). You’ll be able to take lots of really great photos along the way, though.
After all that walking, you’ll find yourself in central London so can feel free to continue your day with further fun in the city, and maybe even perk yourself up with an espresso (patronum). This experience is not to be missed for any Harry Potter fan.
If you find yourself in Edinburgh, you will meet outside the Musuem on the Mound where you will leave behind the muggle world and find yourself in the world of Harry Potter!
