Excellent meal
The meal and service were both first class. The only downside was that the restaurant was cold. It was a cold day and it didn't feel as though there was any heating on. The probable reason being that only two tables were taken in the very large restaurant.

Nice meal, well cooked.
The venue was nice, the meal was well cooked with a variety of comfort food meals. We had 3 courses and both enjoyed the food. I booked 3 months in advance to ensure I could go on my birthday and the only time I was able to book was 5.30pm which was a bit early for me. The restaurant was almost empty so lacked atmosphere, I would have preferred the table at a later time when the restaurant was busier.

Old tired hotel
The dog and partridge is a very dowdy, tired looking hotel. The restaurant didn't appear to have any heating. To describe the meal as 'gourmet ' was really pushing it. It was a very mediocre, average meal. There was a strange area selling gifts of which most had a thick layer of dust. The restaurant was empty but they still didn't have time to put toilet rolls in the loo. Very disappointing.
