What did you get up to?
Me and my friend Lauren went to Sherwood Pines for the 'Pod' Glamping experience. We arrived on Sunday evening and were greeted inside the shop and reception when we arrived. We were given a welcome pack with all the information we could possibly need about the campsite, which was really helpful and made settling in much easier. Once we had settled into the pod, we went to buy some charcoal for the brick barbecue outside. We had planned this beforehand and had bought some food on the way, so we were excited to have our first barbecue. Neither of us had ever used a brick barbecue before, but there were instructions on the outside, which made it really easy to use. After, we sat outside and watched the sunset. We also got to watch the little bunnies that lived underneath the pod hopping around. When it was time to go to sleep, the pod was cozy. There was a mini heater inside as well as a wood-burning fire, so we stayed warm throughout the night and slept perfectly. The next morning, we got up and got ready to go for breakfast. We drove into the nearest town and found a cafe where we sat down and had breakfast. Afterwards, we went for a walk around Sherwood Forest, which was fun as it is famous for being the home of Robin Hood. We then went back to our pod and spent some time doing arts and crafts that we had brought with us. To finish off our stay, we went to a lovely pub for dinner, which was only about a five-minute drive from the campsite. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at Sherwood Pines.
