Superb day
The day began well, my wife has current mobility issues, as we walked very slowly from the car park to the palace the young female driver of the courtesy transit from the bus stop pulled up, unrequested and offered us a lift. A wonderful gesture, greatly appreciated. That set the tone for the rest of the day, we were delighted

Blenheim Palace and lunch at The Crown, Woodstock
What a lovely day out. Woodstock is a small market town right by Blenheim Palace. We had a very pleasant lunch at The Crown. Service was excellent, food very good and set us up nicely for an afternoon at Blenheim Palace. Parking is very limited in Woodstock, but we managed to get a spot in a free car park in Union Street Car Park, just off Hensington Road.
Blenheim Palace was wonderful, what a place. We joined a 45 minute tour inside the Palace and our guide was fantastic, very knowledgeable and kept us all involved throughout. The grounds are very extensive and didn't have time to explore everywhere, but enjoyed our walk around. We had a coffee and cake at the end of our visit which was in a clean/modern setting with the gift shop just next to it. An excellent day all round.
