We did the hiver experience at bee urban in Kennington park. You get to do a hive inspection and learn about the bees! It's pretty incredible how the colonies work . Bee keeping outfits are provided but remember to wear over the ankle socks and flat sensible shoes ! After the bee experience we tasted three hiver beers . We had a bottle each between two of us and we all had a nibbles board with some cheddar , chorizo, fruit cake and veg crisps .
Thoroughly recommend this activity . It takes 2 hrs and it's located in Kennington park but it's easy to find bee urban on the map signage in the park.

Had a great time at the Bee Keeping and Beer Tasting event. Both the bee and beer bits were so informative and interesting, and hosted by really knowledgeable people who also made it fun to listen to. It felt we got through stacks of stuff in just two hours and even made our own candles to take home. Would highly recommend.

A great experience learning about bee keeping, where you actually get to suit up and handle the bees at work. The staff are very friendly and relaxed yet very knowledgeable and informative.
Contacts and further information was offered by the team. This was followed by tasting 3 of the best honey beers I've ever tasted.
This was a great experience I'd recommend for any age, whether you're interested in bee keeping or not.

A really enjoyable couple of hours with great hosts. We learned so much about the bees, and we saw all types inside the hive (workers, drones, newly born, and of course the queen bee!). The beer tasting with savoury nibbles was a very nice end to the event. Afterwars in the shop I bought a six pack of beer, two jars of local honey, and a pretty bee-themed greeting card. The adjacent cafe does lovely pizzas, so we had lunch there. (Kennington Park Cafe). It's such a lovely area.

We did the bee keeping and beer tasting experience and it was such a lovely afternoon. The bee talk and bee keeping part was very interesting and I also learned a lot about bee's. This is then followed by some beer tasting with one of the beers being made from the honey produced there. I cannot recommend this enough! Hiver's beers are also very tasty!
